שלוש עבודות וידאו היוצרות ביחד הערה פוליטית על מצבו של האדם כחי במבנה חברתי. חברה מעצבת עצמה על פי התניות תרבותיות המוכתבות לה ע"י כמה גורמים חיצוניים שרבים מהם אינם בשליטתנו אנשיה. כשאנו סוקרים את החיים אנחנו עדים לאירועים כמו נדידה, עקירה, גירוש והעדר בית המתרחשים בתנועה חבויה ומתמדת לאורך נסיון החיים שלנו. דרכינו לשרוד מיטלטלת בין נאמנות לחוקים הטריטוריאליים ובין חיים מחוץ לטריטוריה, בניסיון למצוא פינת שקטה לחיות בה. האם אנחנו מותנים ע"י חוקי הטבע או חוקי חברה? האם אלה סותרים זה את זה? האם בידינו ההחלטה אם אנחנו רוצים לחיות כמקומיים או כאוניברסאליים? האם יש דרך בה חברה אחת תכתיב חוקים לחברה אחרת?
האם חופש הוא נושא לבחירה או עניין לכפייה? שאלות אלה ואחרות יוצרות את המבוכה הגדולה העומדת במרכז העידן הגלובלי כפי שהן גם עומדות בפני כל אינדיבידואל ואינדיבידואל. ג

Three video art works, make a political commentary on the human condition of living within structured society. Society is molded by cultural conditioning that is dictated by numerous external factors, many of which are out of our control. As we sift through life, we witness human migration, displacement, expulsion, and homelessness that are a perpetual undercurrent of all our experience.
Human survival fluctuates between loyalty to a territory and wandering in an
ex-territorial way; always trying to find a safe corner to live.
Are we conditioned by natural needs or by society`s rules? Do they contradict each other? Can we decide between being local and being universal?
Is there a way for one society to be dictated by rules of other societies?
Is freedom a matter of choice or constraints?
These questions create the great embarrassment, standing in the center of the Globalization age as well as for each individual`s life.

עבודת וידאו הנשענת על קטע וידאו מתוך תיעוד "ההתנתקות" מגוש קטיף ובו מכולה מורמת תלויה באוויר. דימוי זה מוקרן במיצב מתוך מכולה ממשית מיניאטורית התלויה מהתקרה. מכולה בתוך מכולה. אירוע "ההתנתקות" החזיר אותי אחורה להיסטוריה של הורי, שנאלצו לעזוב את ביתם בפולין בזמן המלחמה ולנדוד באירופה.
עם כל ההבדלים הפוליטיים בין שני האירועים, אני בחרתי להתייחס לרגע של שהייה מנטאלית באוויר. בזמן שהאדמה בוערת מתחת לרגליים, הרגע בו אתה חייב לבחור בין חיי שפע למוות, זה הזמן בו ההתנתקות יכולה להפוך לחופש. מכולה, כסימבול למה שמסכם חיים, תלויה בין שמים וארץ, יורדת לקרקע אך אינה נוגעת בה, זהו הרגע בו שני הקצוות של השתרשות מצד אחד, וריחוף מצד שני, מאחד בין העקשנות לצד הפשרה. ה

A video piece taken from documentation the "Withdrawal" of a container picked up in the air.
This situation took me back to my parents' history, when they had to leave their "Meat Pot", their homes in Sheidletz, Polland, and started to wander around Europe.
Politically, there are many differences between these two situations, but in this piece I chose to refer to the moment of being in the air, mentally and metaphorically. The time when your home is burning under your feet, the moment in which you have to choose between prosperity, life or death, is the time when the disconnection might turn out to be freedom. This moment when two poles, of being rooted, and at the same time floating, collide, they create a compromise of stubbornness, and compassion.

The followers, admirers, no matter whether they are from the church or a football game, might feel free with their choice, but always find themselves in a herd.
I try to follow their body language as they worship their idols, trying to find the individual within the herd.
Democracy, as worshiping the individual and his choice, leads behind the curtain to the mass production.
